Your first twenty minutes with Indemnia

You don't have to document your whole home today. Start with one room and your email. By the end of a first session you'll have a room listed and receipts coming in on their own.

  1. Answer one question

    The first time you open your dashboard, we ask What brings you to Indemnia?. Your answer decides which step we show you first.

    This guide follows the first answer. Not sure yet? Skip for now works too, and you can change it later.

Already had a loss?

Pick I've had a loss instead. We'll start with your claim: when it happened and what happened. Then we'll help you find receipts and list what was lost, room by room.

You don't need your insurer's paperwork yet.

What to do after a house fire

  1. Start with one room

    Pick the room with the most in it. Take a few wide photos, then press Choose photos. We'll list what we spot and estimate what each thing is worth. You can check and change anything.

    Photos from your phone or computer both work.

    On your phone? We're not in the app stores yet. Everything works in your phone's browser today, including photographing a room so we can list what's in it.

  2. Check what we found

    New things wait in Items to review. Keep what's yours, fix a name or a price, and Dismiss anything that isn't.

  3. Connect the email you shop with

    Go to Settings → Email and receipts. We look for order confirmations and receipts, and add what you bought for you to review.

    Before anything connects, we show you exactly what we read and how to disconnect.

  4. Scan the paper receipts you kept

    On Receipts, press Scan a receipt and take a photo. Big purchases are the ones worth doing first.

  5. Add your insurance policy

    Your policy limits tell us how much your claim can cover.

Your dashboard keeps track

The card called Get your home documented ticks these off as you go, so you can stop any time and pick up where you left off.
