Do you need an app, or is a spreadsheet enough?
A spreadsheet is a fine home inventory. It's free, it's yours, and every insurer can open it. Most people who start one stop after a weekend, and that's the real problem. A list that's two years old won't help much after a fire.
A spreadsheet is enough if you'll update it every time you buy something, you keep receipts, and you're comfortable working out depreciation yourself if you ever file a claim.
Indemnia helps if you won't keep it up by hand. We read purchase receipts already in your email, so the list grows without you. We attach the receipt to each item, and we work out replacement cost, depreciation and actual cash value when you need a claim report.
Already have a spreadsheet? Keep it. Items you type into Indemnia yourself are unlimited on every plan, and we fill in the rest from your email and photos.
